What makes you a Culturati?

The pleasure of visiting new places and making new friends with diverse backgrounds makes me a Culturati. It doesn’t matter how far I travel as long as I visit a new place. This is always refreshing.

How did you discover your Culturati nature?

Through surfing I have been able to discover my Culturati nature. It has led me to visit areas I would not have otherwise. This trend began in high school while friends and I would visit remote areas of Baja California. I also like to strengthen my Culturati nature by reading. I like to read books through which I am able to learn more about a specific country or city. Most of the books I read are about current events or history. Sometimes I also read fiction books. Two of the books that I have found to be the most interesting in regards to depicting the culture of a specific group of people are One Hundred Years of Solitude and Midnight’s Children.

What type of Culturati are you?

Due to my hobbies and interests, I consider myself to be an athletic and intellectual Culturati.

What makes you a strong Culturati leader?

The fact that I have a strong passion for learning about other cultures, and when involved in the process I show respect and admiration makes me a strong Culturati leader. When in contact with individuals from other cultures, I try to make a connection.
